Summer 2021
Despite all the challenges Covid brought, the Colts' section is going from strength to strength. During the 2021 Summer season we provided cricket opportunities for 114 youngsters aged 5 to 16 years. The younger half enjoyed softball cricket on a Saturday morning whilst those aged 11 and over took part in Tuesday training and hardball matches. We had 5 hardball teams playing in the Swale and Canterbury leagues throughout the season. Our U12 and U14 squads won their Cups and Leagues which was an amazing achievement. Many of our U15s are also playing in senior teams.

There is so much positivity at the Club for the future development of cricket for boys and girls. There are amazing volunteers who manage teams, support coaching, umpire, score and run the kiosk.
Competitive Cricket
In 2021 we entered the following competitions:
Tornadoes - U8 and U10 Softball Swale Festivals (Manager: Marc)
Thunder – U12 Swale League (Manager: Dan)
Lightning – U12 Swale League (Manager: Marc)
Blizzards – U13 Canterbury League (Manager: Dan)
Storm – U14 Swale League (Manager: Rob)
Fire – U15 Canterbury League (Manager: Richard)
Training Sessions
Saturdays 9:30-11:00 ages 5-11 years
Tuesday evenings ages 10-16 years (hardball cricket)
Equipment and Clothing
When playing hardball cricket correctly fitting protective equipment is essential for safety (helmet, protective box, batting pads, batting gloves). Due to Covid safe rules, equipment cannot be shared.
A second-hand clothing and equipment stall will be run during training sessions. We ask that families donate unwanted items and then those choosing items make a small donation to club funds.
New clothing with the Faversham CC logo can be purchased via the club website should you wish to do so. Clothing for matches does not have to have the club logo.
