General information for parents/guardians of Colts 2016 season

Age groups (that age at 31st August)
Under 9s – Reception to Year 4
Under 11s – school years 5 and 6
Under 13s – school years 7 and 8
Under 15s – school years 9 and 10

Membership costs and benefits
U9 - £30
U11 - £40
U13 - £50
U15 - £70 (can play adult cricket)

As a member you enjoy the following benefits: free training, discounted match subs, priority for team selection, membership of club.

Non-member – £5 per training session (payable on the day); full match subs.

Training
Sat 9.00 - 11.00 (U9/U11)
Wed 18.00 - 20.00 (U13/U15)

Note for parents – if you are leaving site, please make sure that the relevant coach (or the person collecting subs) has your phone number as sometimes coaching might be stopped at short notice due to bad weather.

Matches
Match fees: Members £2, Non-members £4 (payable on the day)

Matches are arranged by Swale Cricket and information is put on Play Cricket’s website. As a general rule, matches are played on these days and times:

U9 Saturday 9.30am
U11 Thursday 17.30
U13 Sunday 9.30am
U15 Monday 17.30

Each team has a designated manager responsible for advising team selection and location of matches :
U9 – Claudine Fulton
U11 – Ian Hird
U13 – Dale Mewett/Jamie Rigden
U15 – Ian Hird

Any issues about team selection should be directed to Phil Rowcroft.

** Additional help on match days and during training is always appreciated. There are many jobs that, as a parent, you might like to volunteer for. In previous years parents have helped with scoring, coaching, putting out equipment, collecting subs. Every little help! **

Kit/clothing required
Training and matches
Softball = casual training clothes and trainers
Hardball = helmet, box, pads, cricket shoes/trainers (whites for matches) Faversham CC clothing can be obtained from the clubshop link on the website.

ECB Code of conduct
We are obliged to make sure that everyone who participates in activities at Faversham CC adheres to the ECB code of conduct which is as follows:
• All members must play within the rules and respect officials and their decisions.
• All members must respect the rights, dignity and worth of all participants regardless of gender,
ability, cultural background or religion.
• Members should keep to agreed timings for training and competitions or inform their coach or team manager if they are going to be late.
• Members must wear suitable kit for training and match sessions.
• Members must pay any fees for training or events promptly.
• Junior members are not allowed to smoke on club premises or whilst representing the club at competitions.
• Junior members are not allowed to consume alcohol or drugs of any kind on the club premises or whilst representing the club.
